Harumph!
I had to have surgery on my knee.
My knee started locking up, being a general pain in my arse and I couldn’t walk. I had to quit going to the gym which really upset me. I thought it would get better if I laid off it for awhile, it didn’t. I made an appointment at the orthopedist and surgery was recommended. I went on Thursday and my knee was filled with a huge clump of adhesion. Which is basically scar tissue in overdrive. It was filling up all the open space in my knee and causing pain and instabilty. Isn’t that odd?
What no one tells you is that all the banging around in there they do as they’re fixing up your knee is going to make you so sore you really begin questioning whether you needed the surgery in the first place.
However, I’ll be happy if I can go back to gym again and if I can walk without pain. That will make it all worthwhile. How was you weekend?

I hate to say it, but I’m giggling right now. It’s remarkable how much we resemble each other at the moment.

Ouch! I’m sorry you had to have surgery, but I hope that it resolves some of the issues you’ve been having. How long do they expect recovery to take?
Too bad you’re so far away; if you were closer we could watch garbage on TV together and swap books.

@zhenai - Mmm, garbage TV and books, what a lovely recovery. I have to go to physical therapy for 6 weeks, but I’m going to skip part of it in March for a trip home. Supposedly I will feel like I have a new knee in 3 months. Did you do a lot of lounging this weekend? I hope so, what a pair we are!

OUCH. Knee surgeries suck. Never had one myself, but my dad has had like 5 or 6. Hope it heals quickly for you.
You look really great sitting up there displaying your war wounds! I hope your problem is sorted out. I have knee pain sometimes, mild but annoying so I can really sympathise with you.
I think the surgeon did a good job and you will be free to practice gym and walk in some time , Elizabeth .
I imagine it was painful , your knee became blocked .
