  • Happy Mother’s Day to every woman in the world. Whether you have children or not because we all know that a functioning womb is not what makes a mother a mom. For that matter I know some pretty fantastic babysitters who deserve a happy mothers day because they love and care for their charges just as a mother would do and sometimes better.  And for all who have lost their mom I hope this day is not filled with to much sadness and that through your loss you remember how much she loved you and that is why you miss her so much. I hope that instead of painful remembrances you have joyful memories of times past.  The same wishes hold true for those mom’s out there who have lost a child. You are still a mom and my best wishes go out to you on this…your day.

Being a mother is forever–thank goodness!

  • Happy Mother’s Day, Liz!

I’ve really been missing you. I have so much to say lately but no energy to write it all down. Everything is just converging on me all at once. I still intend to comment on your last post as well … the very minute that I catch my breath from the whirlwind that is my current life.

  • I don’t celebrate Mother’s Day, because I honor my mother 365 days of the year. Today is no exception.

Today I happened to come upon a caset tape of some songs I recorded some time back. One of the songs is The Irish Lullaby.  I remembered my mother singing that song to me when I was four years old in Donaphan, Kansas. I was sitting at the table with her. At the time mama had such a sweet voice. She was 29 years old then. What a happy memory.

  • oh momma, I am a terrible kid… I totally forgot about mother’s day… I’m sorry! I love you anyway though! xoxox
    And Happy Belated Mother’s Day!

  • all I know is that I have spent most of my life taking care of the spawn of my (and MKD’s) loins and sometimes it’s good and other times? not that great.

Now I’m looking forward to grandkids within the next decade…

  • That’s a fantastic blog about mothers, indigo baby.  So very true.  Hope you had a happy Mother’s Day, too.

  • Answer about singing .: Yes Elizabeth singing helps to chase the worries . I am glad to know you sing alone in listening to  the radio . Perhaps you may to be part of a choir in Germany . It ‘ s also a good way to make new friends .
