Rome…again. This time for Bill.(buy his stuff its great)

Pictures NEVER do justice to what you can see with the naked eye, but I’m telling you this, she is beautiful. The Muse of Literature in the Vatican Museum.
This is from way back in April. I doubt I will even try to catch up with my pictures or blogs. I have been to many places in too short a time period. So in lieu of that I’ll put up things as I think of them and the muse moves me.
I remember walking into this round room that some wise person had painted red and seeing all the muses. I saw her and thought of Bill who has a real love/hate/love relationship with this particular muse. So here she is. I’m always doing that, seeing something that reminds me of someone I met here and don’t actually know. Like when I found the tiny childrens book with Cappy on the cover and immediately bought them for notagoose. Thank God my husband is so completely inurred to my odd behavior he doesn’t mind that I send total strangers presents, postcards and randomly take pictures because it reminds me of a favorite xangan. In fact if I say xanga! he doesn’t even bat an eye.
Case in point….this is for my favorite Johnny Depp fan………..
This is in Rorshach, Switzerland. I wonder which came first the movie or the bar?
All I know is when I saw it, I thought of Sandy ….Mmmm, Johhny. The only guy I know that looks good in that much eyeliner.
Then when I was in Austria I thought of Morgane and Cork. Why you may ask? I’ll tell you…. of course….. (no links, they’re both private I do believe.)
They’re both Australian.
Huh? you say.
Why would being in Austria make you think of Australians?
Very simple, let a silly picture answer that question.
Exactly how many times are you asked, Where are the kangeroos before you finally have some genius that makes a magnet?
Me, I’m a smartass, I would probably say….. at the zoo! Unless they all escaped of course, then you should check the local boxing rings.
In hindsight (the 20/20 variety) I wish I had bought one. Ah well maybe next trip.
This ends my foray into the world of catch-up. Three pictures that reminded me of five xangans and a drunk sea bear. What is the world coming too?
By the way I found out that when my oldest kid talks about me and people ask her what I “do” she tells them I’m a eternal tourist. rofl, I like that, to bad by Dec. it will all be over, oh well. Enjoy it while it lasts, that’s my motto.

No mom, you will still be the eternal tourist.. you’ll just be taking a hiatus until you can tourist again. And I’m sure you will manage it, since you can be touristy anywhere. :O) I had such a great time, and I am so glad that I got to finally see you guys again! I can’t wait till you come home! I will try and do a Ireland post soon, and if you want you can link to me so that you don’t have to do double duty.
) how does that sound? xoxoxoxo love you!!

“Eternal Tourist”. What a cool job to have. LOL. I love the shot of the Black Pearl. Too cool.
I love those plaques. I would be one of those people who would completely space it and in Mozart country ask where th kangaroos are.
Over in December? Then what? Where will I be living vicariously next?
You didn’t miss pictures of the floor. The problem is that I didn’t take any before pictures, so the after pictures lose quite a bit of their dramatic impact. Perhaps Toshi took some before pictures … I’ll have to look into that. I think you did miss a post meant largely for you, however. Click here!
*LOL*! Must confess, I’ve always wondered why it is that at big sporting events Australia gets the “AUS” abbreviation and Austria gets stuck with “AUT”. Not that I’m complaining, of course
That’s her! Of course she dresses differently now (when she’s not in the shower) and has great taste I might add. Thanks for the plug and for thinking of me. I was actually thinking of you this weekend too. I talked with some of the other Yard Dog Press writers who asked if you had got and enjoyed the book that I had autographed for you at ConDFW. And speaking of my Muse, she is a great driving partner. On the way to Tulsa on Friday I thought of all kinds of great things to add to my novel, then on the drive back yesterday, I came up with a short story idea and had the whole thing outlined by the time I got home.
Austria/Australia…
we think so much alike sometimes it is way scary!
I love it! Thanks so much of thinking of me. If I ever get to Switzerland, you can bet I’m going to hunt this place down!
