From our fourth president:
“I believe there are more instances of
the abridgement of the freedom of the
people by gradual and silent encroach-
ments of those in power than by violent
and sudden usurpations.”
-JAMES MADISON
If tyranny and oppression come to this land, it will be in the guise of fighting a foreign enemy.”
— James Madison
“If you establish a democracy, you must in due time reap the
fruits of a democracy. You will in due season have great
impatience of the public burdens, combined in due season with
great increase of the public expenditure. You will in due season
have wars entered into from passion and not from reason; and you
will in due season submit to peace ignominiously sought and
ignominiously obtained, which will diminish your authority and
perhaps endanger your independence. You will in due season find
your property is less valuable, and your freedom less complete.”
- Benjamin Disraeli-1804-1881 Prime Minister of England
Speech in the House of Commons
March 31, 1850
So i say Hmm, what do say?

The red states, if they pay any attention beyond the speaking points propaganda the Republicans send out, really should think long and hard before putting another G.Dubya Neocon-type into office.
the only being who is absolutely free is Jehovah God, our creator. Everyone else, is relatively free. I apprciate Jere. 10:23 in the Bible. It helps us understand that wasn’t given to man to direct his own steps. It doesn’t belong to us. That is Jehovah’s job. He created us that way. He knew what he was doing. When we submit to his will and purpose, we benefit. 1 John 2:17
Hmm…doesn’t this all sound familiar?! My worry, although he says he won’t run in 2008, is Jeb bush running for President–his daddy wants him to run. God forbid, that another bush gets in–run for the hills!! RYC: I found pic in Google Images, the only ‘info’ I have, is what the caption said, “80miwofBakersfieldCA.” Love to you.
I like what Madison says , Indie .
I saw your e.prop on my site nut not your comment .

Please , read ” …but not your comment “ Forgive this typing mistake .
I agree….I’m not sure I would want another Bush in the White House either….however….at the time is seemed like the best choice. I am not quite the Bush basher as the other commenters though.
The quote is brilliant…even from 150 years ago.
Don’t be jealous, baby :femmeblnd:
