  • Let’s try this again. I lost my first post…no that won’t happen again.  I think I have that prob fixed.

I meant to post days ago, but I have had oodles to do.(oodles, now there’s a weird word)  First off, for those who misread, as I did…Timah is not calling me a slut.  He is a comment slut and he was terribly disappointed when I didn’t post as he had to rein in his slutty tendencies.  Even Timah isn’t brave enough to call his future M.I.L. a slut.  If that thought does cross your mind Timah…well maybe that’s the tendency that needs reined in.

We had a very tasty Thanksgiving.  (if I do say so myself)We ate and ate and then slipped into the “required by law turkey coma”  then when we could move again, we ate pie.  Please pass the cheesecake  Only in America do we have a national holiday that celebrates a deadly sin, gluttony, then moves into a second, sloth.   go USA.

I took the labyrinth quiz and SHOCK I am the JUNK WOMAN!!  Yup that’s me…here’s a pretty, and look at this, oohh you need this, and this, and this.  I have everything from baby teeth to last weeks recycling center “find”  I find to many things and can’t let go of any of them.  See my picture below.  The walls will probably start caving in soon so everybody quick come to my house and help hold them up.

         Sarah and the Junk

    toodles!

  • No time now…promise to post later.

  • I finally went to the Lube weblog, he is so incredibly lame.  Yes, even more so than me, I know some thought that was impossible.  However, his comment sections are hilarious, I particularly liked gutterflowers’ comments and her passion.  I also like that his brothers and sisters, my god there are a million of them, stick up for him.  I’m all for family!  However, I joined the “Antilube subscribing to everyone blogring”.  Here’s my reasoning.  I, like gutterflower, know most of my subscribers and they know me.  They either like me for who I am, or they are my kids friends.  (or my kids)  I never proclaimed That I was talented at this writing thing or even coherent.  But, if you did subscribe to me because you like my writing that’s cool.  If you subscribed to me so I would be #750 in a list of blogs you don’t read then I want you to know I’m not there for you.  I know you want me for the notch in your belt.  This little lady just ain’t up for it.  And while I will probably visit his site now and again to laugh at him, and read the great comments, I myself won’t comment unless it’s something that means something to me personally, I’m stubborn that way.  I’m not going to feed his ego.  I will say again, I read the sites I read for entertainment or enlightenment…today I was royally entertained.

  • Very good day at work.  When you get everything accomplished that you set out to do at the beginning of the dawn, you see satisfaction.  So here I am, tired but so grateful to be able to do the thing that need to be done.  Somedays are harder than others but when you laugh, and joke with the rest of the team you feel good at days end.  For those who don’t know, I work at a Recycling Center.  Yes, we save the planet one pop bottle, and one carboard box at a time.  Today we put out two 1500lbs. bales of paper and two 1100lbs. bales of cardboard.  We three women processed approx. 5000 lbs of recyclables.  We did other stuff to, like repairing 2 bins and harassing some convicts(that was fun)and a few other misc. things.

    • Daughter Em got her grades in today.  Kudos!

    • 100 in senior research

    • 87 in World Studies

    • 98 in Botany

    • 100 in 2D3D graphics

    • 102 in Algebra 3

    • 93 in senior Eng. composition.

    • 63 in physics

    • Now I know a 63 isn’t great but I am so glad it’s not a complete loss that I am thrilled.  But doesn’t it give pause for thought that the next lowest grade is 87, then it jumps five more points, and keeps going up from there.  Kind of makes me wonder if maybe it might be the teacher instead of the student that has a problem.  Maybe he isn’t connecting all the dots, or whatever they do.

  • I was with my dad most of the day, doing what he likes to do.  Which is go to wal-mart, take a drive to Center Ridge, looking at all the trees changing colors, things like that.  Nothing hugely special.  It wasn’t until we had split up and I was driving home, with him following behind that I noticed something.  Shortly after 9/11/01 he bought two of the American flags that hook onto the window of your car.  Looking into my rearview mirror I could see those flags proudly flapping in the breeze.  When I looked back to the road I saw that where a year ago you could see dozens of those flags now there was only my dads’.  Some people decried all of those flags, saying that it was fake patriotism, or my personal favorite, where was your flag before 9/11?  I know where my dads flag was before 9/11…it was at Pearl Harbor…it was Dec. 7th.  Another day of “infamy”  My dad doesn’t go around beating his chest and he doesn’t  ask you, where is your flag?  He doesn’t always agree with the makers of policy and he abhors politicians.  but when he joined the army he new that he might be giving his life for his country.  He was willing to do that because it was for the entire country, not just a few politicians.  For a way of life that he thought was worth preserving.  When I see those flags flying on his car I see more than an old man.  I see one of the heroes that lived to tell the tale.
