  • If you look in the dictionary under gratitude it says ” A feeling of thankfulness”  this is really all it needs to say.  What am I thankful for?  I am thankful that I have WHO I have in my life.  Not every family member is a lovable human being, but I have been blessed enough to have two kids and a husband that are lovable.  I respect and admire them.  I am grateful that they are a part of my life.

Friends are a different matter, we choose our friends.  Once chosen, if you are angry at them you have the right to UN choose them.  The quality of compassion and understanding is up to each one of us as individuals.  We expect our friends to view us as we view ourselves, to be as easy on us as we are on ourselves.  There’s the rub…no-one does.  This is where it gets tricky, do we give up, become depressed or bitter? (poor me, no-one understands) or do we become angry?(bitch needs to stay outta my business)  Or do we take the high road…showing love when it is not only the most difficult thing to do, but also the last thing we want to do.  Saving the high drama for the stage or a most colorful dream. Once an action is chosen, sometimes in just an instant, it changes not just our immediate area, it can change your perception and the perception of the people around you.  Words are the most powerful force in our lives, I choose to use them softly and wisely.Mom
